The Booksigning at the Barnes & Noble in Wodland Hills California this past weekend went swimmingly! Not much media coverage this time. However, 1 week previous, at my signing in Chico CA, I sold out of the store's supply of books! As proof, I present the following newspaper article and TV news clip:

Coolio! I'm sure it's only a small step from a minute segment on local news to having my own animated tv cartoon series, right? Cmon Hollywood! Get with the program!

Also, check out the FanArt section -- just got a great Tbyrd piece by Kendra! Always fun seeing my characters by other people, it's like looking into a paralell universe. I recommend everyone sends me fan art!

I've got more booksignings and events in the upcoming months >> if you're in the area, I want to meet you and give you a free sketch! They're confined to California at the moment (my own personal state) but I hope to expand outwards.

4/25 Another Dirt Sandwich just got reviewed by Scott Tingley of Comics in the Classroom. I got compared favorably with the Marx Brothers Comparison, which never goes awry.

"If you enjoy uniquely illustrated slightly-rambling joke filled books, then it will be worth the effort to find a copy of Another Dirt Sandwich."

Also the American Library Association reviewed me recently too:

"Tbyrd Fearlessness, a scheming ostrich, thinks he is very clever. The problem is, no one else agrees with him. Then a rube (possibly a penguin, or a buzzard—it’s not entirely clear) arrives in town, and Tbyrd fleeces him for a “hat tax.” After a dastardly badger takes the newcomer for everything else, Tbyrd and the rube team up to recover the stolen goods, a task that demands crafty Tbyrd to call on his cunning and guile, then find a way to recover when everything goes awry. The Old West setting is decked out with visual gags here and there and reinforced by the sepia-tone theme, but most of the action happens in the zany dialogue that swells out of each panel. The jokey asides and playfully sophisticated take on language are reminiscent of Walt Kelly’s Pogo, but the gag-a-second pace may leave some readers a bit numb. Others, however, will hold their sides for the duration of this manic blend of mayhem and adventure." — Ian Chipman, ALA Booklist
